'I am 56 and a retired housewife,' says Helen. 'I enjoy gardening, especially growing plants from seeds and cuttings, and seeing the end results. In addition, I like to do my own hanging baskets and tubs and see the plants all in colour.
'I enjoy being out and about and spend a lot of time visiting gardens such as Cragside Estate and Wallington Hall in Northumberland. This is where my other hobby comes in, which is photography. I enjoy taking photographs of the gardens and trying to be creative, as well as taking close-ups of the flowers. It's not just flowers that I like to take photographs of, but also of the coast and of wildlife.'
