RHS Plant Finder 2007-2008 – a veritable bible when it comes to correctly naming and finding practically any plant under the sun. Whether you are looking for an old favourite, or a more unusual specimen, keen gardeners should not be without it.
The Plant Finder reaches its 20th birthday
Celebrating it's 20th year in 2007, the latest edition lists 4,000 new plants, making the total more than 73,000, with revisions to plant names to keep you updated. Alongside each plant listed, you'll find additional information such as whether the plant is new, or has won the Award of Garden Merit (identified by a cup symbol). You'll also see the code (or codes) of nurseries supplying that plant, with a key to nursery codes at the back of the book.
If you've never used the Plant Finder before, consult the notes at the beginning of the book, especially How to Use the Plant Directory, which explains all symbols and abbreviations listed. There's also extra information, such as Collectors' References and Notes on Nomenclature and Identification.
