Gerbera: new plant for 2007

Gardeners welcome the arrival of the fully hardy gerbera

Gerbera
Gerbera Everlast White available from March 2007

'Gerbera Everlast grows to about 35cm (14in) and flowers from April to July, providing invaluable colour early in the season.'

Say gerbera and no doubt you'll think of exotic daisies sold in florists' shops. But 2007 sees the exciting development of fully hardy gerberas suitable as garden plants. Gerbera Everlast grows to about 35cm (14in) and flowers from April to July, providing invaluable colour early in the season.

Gerbera Everlast Pink and Everlast White will be available in garden centres from March onwards.

Mail-order supplier Mr Fothergill's offers three plugs for £7.95.
Hayloft Plants charges £15 for three young plants.
