Guide to posting on the forums

Our forums are very similar to other forums on the Internet, just sign up, choose a topic and post away, or start your own discussion. But the forums are slightly different in the way text is set out and links created, so here is a guide on posting in the forums.

Text tags

Here are a few tags to change the way your forum post is shown:
  • Bold: type the command before the area you want to appear in bold and a after:
    bold

  • Italic: type the command before the area you want to appear in italic and a after:
    italic

  • Underlined: type the command before the area you want to appear underlined and a after:
    underlined

Links

To make a link clickable type the command and either side of the link:
http://www.gardening.co.uk/

Alternatively type the whole address in the tag like this: Gardening to get a link that looks like this: gardening

Images

Unfortunately you can't post images in the forum as yet, but you can link to a file on another website using the links above, or you can use our gallery to submit your photo.

Editing posts

You will be able to edit your posts for up to ten minutes after you post it, so you can fix your typos and change what you've written. Just click the button and edit away. Be warned though - this feature only lasts ten minutes, and will disappear if someone posts after you.
