This is an Agapanthus - or African Lily. I have got white ones too.

The quality of my soil is pretty bad, it's mainly a mixture of clay and builders rubbish but my plants don't seem to be too bothered.

Hope your bad wrist doesn't cause you too much discomfort, get well soon!
