hi all

i found this on the leaf of one of my calamondins. not the clearest picture, but it looks like all the green of the leaf has been eaten, leaving the skeletal dry bit of the leaf left, and there is a light layer of webbing and tiny black flecks that arent moving in the webbing.

val would suggest its another plant rescue from dan hehe i just dont like the way a lot of the plants are cared for at my local garden center so i end up buying them! i dont have a lot of experience with infestation and infection though!

i hope it isnt infection, but if anyone has any idea please let me know what it could be and if it needs treating, or if im just being paranoid

dan

Hi Dan,

I'm saying nothing about your waifs and strays! This leaf appears to have been lunch for some beastie with scraping mouth parts, rather than biting or chewing and the black flecks are probably waste. The fact that there's nothing else in evidenece suggests the culprit is long gone and this may have happened before you even got the plant. You could get something like Organic 2in1 from Vitax to keep in the weapons cupboard, should you notice any more unexpected life in the undergrowth.

Good luck - and keep up the good work!
